Family Housing

The Knox County Housing Authority has three family properties which have been designated for families with children in mind. These properties have additional amenities such as playground areas and related recreational equipment and facilities.

Housing units are available for different family sizes, with 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom units. See the MAP for locations of our family housing properties on McKnight Street, South & Berrien Streets, and Iowa Ave or check out our property directory.

Rent is income based (see income guidelines for more information). Federal eligibility verification and screening guidelines preclude the offering of emergency housing.

Applications can be picked up at our administrative office at 216 W. Simmons St, Galesburg. You may also print out an application and mail it in by visiting our online application guide.
